Go Tier - Metrics Overview

This article summarizes the various metrics provided on GlobalLink Web and how to interpret them.

For all Metrics, use the dropdowns in the top right corner of the page to filter on the specific language(s) and time periods you want to see.

Hover on any chart or graph, or your World Traffic heatmap, for more details on the specific metrics you are looking at.

Translated Traffic

What is it?

  • Translated Traffic represents the number of visits to one of your translated pages for the language(s) and time period specified in the dropdowns.

What does it mean?

  • It means your translated webpages are receiving visits! Every time someone loads a translated page from your website, that counts as one visit or page-view.

Where can I find it?

  • A summary of your Translated Traffic is available on your Dashboard page. For a more detailed report, visit the Translated Traffic page under Metrics in the left-hand menu. The Translated Traffic page gives a breakdown of the number of visits for each day, as well as the specific URLs that were visited, for the language(s) and time period you specified.

World Traffic

What is it?

  • World Traffic tells you where your Translated Traffic is coming from.

What does it mean?

  • It means the highly ranked countries have the strongest appetite for your translated website. It is important to note that World Traffic does not necessarily correlate to specific translations you've deployed - i.e., not all traffic in France is necessarily viewing the French version of your website.

Where can I find it?

  • A summary of your World Traffic is available on your Dashboard page. Visit the World Traffic page under Metrics to view your heatmap and country ranker for the language(s) and time period you specified.

Words Served

What is it?

  • Words Served is the total number of translated words delivered to your website’s visitors. It is the number of words on a page multiplied by the number of times that page was loaded in a translated language.

What does it mean?

  • It means your translated webpages are receiving visits! Every time someone loads a translated page from your website, the number of translated words on that page are counted and added to your Words Served metric. Your Words Served metric will help you determine if you should upgrade or downgrade to a more appropriate Go Tier plan.

Where can I find it?

  • A summary of your Words Served is available on your Dashboard page. Visit your Words Served usage page for specific information by language and time period. Your Words Served usage page is available on your Account page under your user dropdown menu in the top right corner.
